Quick Installation Guide of Meet X

Step 1 Physical Connection

1. Connect the power adapter to the device and power it on by pressing the power button for 5 seconds on the back panel.

2. Connect the TV to the HDMI port of the device with a HDMI cable.

Step 2 Network Setup

Way 1: Connect an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet Port of the device.

Way 2: Connect to the Wifi: when you turn on the Meet X and connect a TV to it, you can see the Windows system showing up. Click on the wifi icon on the bottom of the right corner and choose your own wifi network, then input the wifi password. Please note, you need to connect a keyboard and a mouse to the USB ports of the device in order to type in the wireless password.

Step 3 Start the ezTalks Rooms

1. The ezTalks Rooms software is built-in the Meet X. Double click on the ezTalks Rooms icon to start the Room. The Room page is as below:

2. Download the ezTalks app on your PC/phone/tablet. Here is the download link:

3. Sign in the ezTalks app on your PC/phone/tablet with your ezTalks account. If you do not have an account, sign up first: https://www.eztalks.com/uc/signup

Step 4 Add the Room to the ezTalks app

On phone/tablet:
Go to More--Rooms and click on the + button, then input the Room ID of the Meet X, which is showing on the TV connected to it.

On Windows/Mac PC:
Go to the Rooms icon on the top right corner and click on + button to add the Room ID of the Meet X, which is showing on the TV connected to it:

Step 5 Host a meeting

On phone/tablet:

1. On the Meetings page, click on the + button on the Meetings page and you can start a video meeting as below:

2. Select the Room of the Meet X:

If you forget to choose the room and select “Use Current Device”, you will use the phone directly to start the meeting. 

When you are in the meeting room, you can also Move to the Room. Click on the three dots on the top right corner and select “Move to Room” as below:

 On Windows/Mac PC

1. go to Meetings page, click on the + button and start a video meeting:

2. Select the Room of the ezTalks Meet X:

If you forget to choose the room and select “Use Current Device”, you will use the PC directly to start the meeting. 

When you are in the meeting room, you can also Move to the Room. Click on Device icon and select the Room of the ezTalks Meet X:

Step 6  Meetings Control in a room

On phone/tablet:

You can control the room if you use a phone/table to host a meeting using the ezTalks Room, you can control the room settings as below:

Video: You can turn the video on/off. Change the video settings

Audio: You can turn the audio on/off. You can select different audio devices.

Share: You can share screen or whiteboard of your phone. If you use iOS, it supports whiteboard only.

Messages:You can send chat messages to your participants

Participants: You can see how many participants are in the meeting and you can mute/unmute them, remove them from the meeting.

Change View: you can change it to presenter view or speaker view.

Cloud Recording: You can record your meeting and it will be saved to the ezTalks cloud server.

Invite: You can invite more participants to join the meeting.

More: You can have more options, such as polling, settings and contact eztalks support.

Leave: click on Leave button to end the meeting.

On Windows/Mac PC

You can control the room if you use a phone/table to host a meeting using the ezTalks Room, you can control the room settings as below:

Video: You can turn the video on/off. Change the video settings.

Audio: You can turn the audio on/off. You can select different audio devices.

Invite: You can invite more participants to join the meeting.

Participants: You can see how many participants are in the meeting and you can mute/unmute them, remove them from the meeting.

Share: You can share screen or whiteboard on your PC.

Chat: You can send chat messages to your participants.

Recording: You can record your meeting and it will be saved to the ezTalks cloud server.

Room Device: You can select a room to host the meeting.

Polling: You can launch a poll during the meeting.

More: You can have more options, such as check Meeting info, go to the Settings and contact eztalks support.

End Meeting: click on Leave button to end the meeting.

Step 7  Manage the Room

The ezTalks Room can be managed by an administrator account. One room can only be added to one administrator account. 

1. Log in your ezTalks account and go to Rooms--Add Room page:

2. Input the Room ID and Admin Code:

Please note: the Admin code is shown on the ezTalks Rooms software page:

3. Once you add the room, it will show on My Room page. Right click on it and you can Rename it or bind license that you have purchased.
