Troubleshooting About ezTalks Rooms

1. Why the ezTalks Rooms software does not start up automatically?

When the ezTalks Rooms software updates automatically, it may not start up when the system boots. You need to uninstall the app, and go to the ezTalks download center to download the software and reinstall it, which can resolve the issue.

2. Why the Meet X cannot boot up again after pressing the power button on the remote control?

There is an issue if you use the Meet X in the process as below:

Step 1. Connect the power cable to the Meet X

Step 2. Press the power button on the back of the Meet X, the Meet X boots up successfully.

Step 3. Press the power button on the white remote control for less than 2 seconds, the monitor connected to the Meet X becomes black, but the camera console does not return to the original position. (People may think it is in sleeping mode or it's turned off, actually it is not.)

Step 4. If you press the power button on the back of the Meet X or press the power button on the white remote control, neither way can boot up the Meet X. You have to unplug the power cable and press the power button on the back of the Meet X to boot it up.

To sum up, when you press the power button on the back of the Meet X to turn it on, and then you press the power button on the remote control for less than 2 seconds to turn if off, the Meet X will not be turned off successfully.

The correct way to turn on/off the Meet X are:

Way 1: Press the power button on the back of the Meet X to turn it on and turn it off.

Way 2: Press the power button on the white remote control to turn it on and turn it off.

way 3: Press the power button on the back of the Meet X to turn it on and press the power button on the white remote control for more than 2 seconds to turn it off.

To sum up, you need to press the power button on the remote control for longer than 2 seconds to turn off the Meet X. 

3. What can I do if the Meet S or other devices cannot work with a 4K monitor?

You can try to change the resolution on the Meet S to adapt to the 4K monitor. Here are the steps:

Step 1. Connect Meet S with another display with lower resolution, then connect a mouse to the Meet S.

Step 2. When the rooms page shows up on the display, click the version number for 5 times, and long hold it for the 6th time, then the Meet X will enter the Android system.

Step 3. Then find Display-HDMI option, then you can change the resolution. The page might be in black, so you need to hold the mouse to see the words on it.

Step 4. Choose the lower resolution, for example, 3840*2160 25HZ, which can work with 4K display.

Step 5. Right click the mouse, and the system will be back to ezTalks Rooms page.

4. What can I do if the Meet S or other devices cannot connect to the Internet via Ethernet nor Wifi?

If the device cannot connect to the Internet, you can try to change the time and time zone on the Meet S. Here are the stops:

Step 1  Click the version number for 5 times and then hold it for the 6th click to enter the system page.

Step 2  Find the Date and Time.

Step 3  Disable the automatic date and time and automatic time zone. Then set the date, time and time zone manually. 

Step 4 Then go back to the system page. Right click on the system page and you can go back to the Onion's page.
